In 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in the Global Game Jam for the first time, a prestigious global event where game developers from around the world gather to create games in just 48 hours based on a common theme. This event, hosted in Rennes by the Indie Collective association, provided an ideal platform for me to practice my skills and collaborate with other passionate creators. My Role:
For this Game Jam, I was responsible for all the visual elements of the game. This included 3D modeling of all objects and characters, creating textures, as well as rigging and animation. I designed the models to align with the game’s theme and ensured seamless integration into the gameplay. My focus was on delivering both visually appealing and functional assets within the tight time constraints of the Game Jam.
Outcome:
This first participation in the Global Game Jam was an incredibly formative experience. It allowed me to showcase my 3D creation skills under pressure, learn to work efficiently in a team in a dynamic environment, and push my boundaries in game development. It was a valuable opportunity to apply my technical skills while collaborating with other creative talents in a fast-paced and stimulating setting.
