In 2024, I had the opportunity to develop a Unity plugin called Easy Screenshot Tool, designed to simplify the process of taking screenshots directly from within the Unity editor. This tool allows developers to quickly capture images of their games without leaving the editor, which is especially useful for creating promotional visuals or documenting development. This project was a great opportunity for me to showcase my programming skills and ability to create custom interfaces in Unity. The plugin is available for free on the Unity Asset Store and is open-source, allowing the community to improve it further.
My Role:
I was responsible for the complete development of the Easy Screenshot Tool, which included writing all the code and creating the interface window within the Unity editor. I ensured that the tool was intuitive and easy to use for developers, offering practical features like one-click screenshot capture with adjustable resolution based on the screen size.
Outcome:
Developing this tool was a rewarding experience, allowing me to combine my programming expertise with editor interface design. This project gave me the chance to address a specific need for Unity developers, while ensuring the tool remains accessible and open for improvement by the community. I’m particularly proud to see that Easy Screenshot Tool has been well-received, and that the community can continue to enhance it.
