During my internship at TorrusVR, I contributed to the development of an innovative video game themed around the 2024 Olympic Games. The game stands out due to its ability to detect player movements in real-time using a camera, enabling full physical interaction: when the player jumps, crouches, or runs in place, the in-game character mimics these actions.
My Role:
I was responsible for the entire project. In addition to modeling, I handled the rigging of characters and designed various visual effects, including fireworks at the end of competitions. I also integrated motion detection technology, allowing the game to respond to the player’s physical actions in real time. Additionally, I implemented a global leaderboard system, enabling players to compare their performances with others worldwide.
Outcome:
This project allowed me to blend advanced technical skills with artistic creativity, while working with augmented reality and motion detection technology. It was a rewarding experience that strengthened my development skills and gave me valuable hands-on experience with interactive gaming technologies.
